It does not replace the insurance policy, the detailed EUB2025-10JB insurance terms and conditions, or the insurance product information document. In the event of any discrepancy, the official insurance documents always govern.
Ticket Insurance provides protection if the Participant is unable to attend an event accessible with a valid ticket due to an unexpected external circumstance defined in the insurance terms. In the case of a valid claim, Európai Utazási Biztosító Zrt. (EUB) reimburses the unrefunded ticket price to the ticket buyer, up to the limits specified in the contract.
The insurance risk is borne by Európai Utazási Biztosító Zrt. OneTicket makes it possible to take out the insurance during the ticket purchase process; the assessment and payment of the insurance service is carried out by the Insurer.
The Policyholder is the adult who takes out the insurance and pays the premium. The Buyer is the person who booked and paid for the service, and who therefore suffers a financial loss in the event of cancellation. The Participant is the person named on the policy and in the contract related to the ticket purchase who intends to use the ticket.
The insurance covers the persons listed as Participants on the policy. If the participants are not specified by name and date of birth at the time of ticket purchase, the persons and order listed on the policy shall govern, up to the number of participants specified in the booking.
According to the insurance terms, Ticket Insurance can only be taken out at the same time as the ticket purchase, during the online purchase process. Once the purchase is complete, the insurance cannot be added to the ticket afterwards.
The contract comes into existence when the Insurer accepts the insurance offer, which is confirmed by the issued insurance policy. A valid offer is one submitted through the online contracting system accepted by the Insurer.
The insurance has a one-time premium. The premium must be paid when the insurance is taken out, together with the ticket purchase. The exact insurance premium is shown during the purchase process and on the issued policy.
Coverage begins, at the earliest, after the insurance contract is concluded and the premium is paid at the same time. It lasts until the start of the event — that is, the insured service — but for no more than 365 days.
On the day the contract is concluded, insurance coverage applies exclusively to accident events. Cancellation for a non-accident-related reason — for example, an illness that arises on the same day — is not covered.
Yes, if the Participant, or a relative defined in the terms, suddenly suffers an illness or accident with no prior history, requiring justified emergency medical care, and as a result attendance at the event becomes impossible. The event and the resulting inability to attend must be verified with appropriate medical documentation.
The insurance may cover the unexpected worsening of a stable, well-managed chronic illness. Separate exclusions and restrictions apply to pre-existing, unstable conditions, or illnesses treated or known before the booking, so the Insurer always assesses claims based on the medical records and the detailed terms.
Yes. The death of persons specified in the terms can be an insured event. If the deceased is not the Participant, the death must occur within 60 days before the start of the event.
Yes, if the Participant's property is affected by fire, a natural disaster, or a crime committed by a third party, and as a result attendance at the event becomes impossible. The damage event must be verified with official documents from the authorities, the service provider, or other official sources.
The unlawful theft of a passport, ID card, driving licence, or the vehicle registration certificate of a vehicle owned by the Participant can be an insured event, if the document cannot be replaced by the start of the event even through an expedited process, and the service cannot be used without it.
Termination of employment by the employer, through no fault of the employee, can be an insured event if the requirements set out in the terms are met. Among other things, an indefinite-term employment relationship of at least 30 hours per week, and at least one year of continuous employment at the time of booking, are required.
A newly discovered pregnancy can be an insured event if it is diagnosed by a specialist gynecologist by no later than the end of the 10th week of pregnancy, the pregnancy was not yet known at the time of booking, and the insurance was taken out on the day of booking. For an already known pregnancy, an unexpected complication may be covered if the end of the service falls within the 29th week of pregnancy at the latest and a specialist advises against attendance.
Yes, if the Participant is unexpectedly summoned as a witness during the coverage period, the required personal appearance falls on the time of the event, and the authority or court does not accept attendance at the event as a valid reason for absence.
The Participant's vehicle becoming unable to be driven due to a traffic accident, or a breakdown verified by an invoice, occurring within two days before the start of the event, can be a covered event, if the vehicle cannot be repaired before departure for the event.
It can be an insured event if verified public transport arrives with a delay of at least 3 hours, or the Participant is caught in an officially verified, unexpected traffic jam of at least 3 hours while driving. A condition is that, without the delay, the Participant would have arrived at least one hour before the start of the event.
In the event of a valid insured event, the Insurer undertakes to reimburse the Buyer for the ticket price not refunded due to the cancellation, up to the actual loss and the sum insured specified in the policy.
The maximum sum insured is 400,000 HUF per Buyer and per insured event. Within this, the maximum amount is 100,000 HUF per Participant.
This is an indemnity insurance: only the actual, verified loss not reimbursed from another source can be compensated. The Insurer takes into account any amount refunded by the service provider or event organizer.
The sum insured is determined in Hungarian forints. For ticket purchases in foreign currency, the official MNB (Hungarian National Bank) exchange rate valid on the day of booking applies; the Insurer pays the benefit in forints, based on the official MNB exchange rate at the time of payment, up to the insurance limit.
The cancellation of the event itself is not an insured event linked to the Participant personally. In this case, information about a ticket price refund is primarily provided by the event organizer or service provider. Under the terms, the insurance for the affected Participant terminates when the cancellation is first made public, and the Insurer pays a pro-rata premium refund.
No. Ticket Insurance is not "cancel for any reason" coverage. It can only provide benefits based on the verified events listed in the insurance terms.
Generally, it does not cover an illness, complaint or symptom that already existed before the start of the insurance or before the booking, nor illnesses treated in the year preceding the booking, nor cases related to previous permanent health damage. An exception may be the unexpected worsening of a stable chronic illness, as defined in the terms.
According to the product information document, cancellation due to psychiatric or psychological illness is not covered by the insurance.
Coverage does not extend to events related to addiction, medication, alcohol or drug overdose, or withdrawal. The detailed terms contain separate rules for establishing a state of alcohol intoxication.
Exclusions may include, among others, intentional or grossly negligent damage, war or combat events, ionizing radiation, nuclear energy, certain traffic accidents related to rule violations, failure to use required protective equipment, and breach of the obligation to prevent or mitigate loss.
As a general rule, the territorial scope covers the entire world, but it is not valid in countries and regions explicitly excluded by name in the terms, in Antarctica, or in areas where travel is advised against according to official Hungarian foreign affairs guidance. The detailed, current list should always be checked in the insurance terms.

You must provide, among other things, the date of the cancelled event, the name and address of the service provider, the details of the Policyholder and the cancelled Participant, the exact reason for cancellation, and the name, address and phone number of the person filing the claim. In the case of illness or accident, the contact details of the person affected and the treating doctor or institution are also required.
Generally required documents include the completed claim form, proof of the insurance policy and premium payment, confirmation of the ticket purchase, the service provider's confirmation of the ticket's cancellation or non-use, proof of payment of the ticket price, and the service provider's confirmation of any refund or amount withheld.
In the case of illness or accident, a GP's journal entry, specialist report, or hospital discharge summary may be required. The documents must include the examinations, diagnosis, treatment, the expected possibility of attending the event, as well as the date and the doctor's identifying details. For a chronic illness, the Insurer may also request previous medical records.
In the event of a vehicle breakdown, a document verifying that the vehicle could not be driven, and a repair invoice, are required. In the case of a public transport delay or traffic jam, an official confirmation issued by the transport company or the competent authority must be submitted.
The Insurer is required to make a reasoned service proposal and pay the amount due, or provide a reasoned response, within 15 days of receiving the documents essential for claim settlement. Even if documents are missing, a response must be provided within one month of the claim being submitted at the latest. Due to incomplete documentation, the claim may be rejected or assessed based on the data available.
